NAME: Dale Kaczmarek

ORGANIZATION: Ghost Research Society

URL: http://www.ghostresearch.org

1. 30 years.

2. To prove the existence of ghosts and life after death.

3. Tri-Field meter.

4. Poltergeist

5. Uncertain

6. Depends on the camera used. Digital orbs are nothing more than digital flaws caused by lack of pixilation under low-light conditions. However some orbs may be real ghosts or entities. It's a matter of examination.

7. Going into a totally unexplored area, alone and without researching it first.

8. The satisfaction of a successful investigation and doing the best that you can.

RESPONDER #4

NAME: David Gurney

ORGANIZATION: Haunted North Carolina

URL: http://www.hauntednc.com

1. 3 years

2. I have always been interested in the subject since I was a child.

3. Different situations call for different tools. I have no favorite.

4. The Sixth Sense

5. My faith says that they do, however I believe that actual cases of demon possessions are extremely rare.

6. I discount most orbs as dust, moisture, lens flares, etc...The only way that I will take a second look at an orb is when there is other activity present.

7. Accidents caused by moving around in a darkened area.

8. Getting to go in places that I would never normally get to go it, witnessing something that totally defies explanation.

RESPONDER #5

NAME: Jeff Harris

ORGANIZATION: S.P.I.R.E.

URL: http://www.angelfire.com/ms3/spire

1.  23 years.

2. Curiosity. There has to be more than just the physical world.

3. My brain, and my notebook. No One tool is really my favorite. I feel that the use of EMF meters and IR thermometers is important...but you cannot capture evidence without the use of a camera or an audio recorder. It is difficult to say which is my favorite.

4. The Legend of Hell House - 1973 starring Roddy McDowell

5. I believe so.

6. 99% of them are just dust. Too often we mistake dust orbs for paranormal activity. The only way to differentiate a good orb from bad is if it is half hidden by another object. Then you can tell it is not a reflection caused by dust or moisture. Real orbs as a phenomenon? There is no telling what they actually are. If anyone actually knows, I would love to learn. I will soon be revamping the spire site and removing most of the orb pics.

7. Living people, or dark places. Too easy to fall or get hurt in the dark.

8. Finding that 1% that cannot be explained away by science.

RESPONDER #6

NAME: Nicole McCanlies

ORGANIZATION: Good Gang Ghost Hunters Observation Team

URL: http://www.ggghost.com

1.  12 years in the field

2. It's really selfish, I want proof to be able to show the world.

3. Woman's intuition and my voice recorder. Amazing what EVP's I can pull.

4. Poltergeist-the 1st one. The second was good and the 3rd was just plain stupid. I wonder what movies Heather O'Rourke would be doing now since her and Drew Barrymore are the same age. Firestarters-2nd best movie w/Drew Barrymore.

5. YES and bad ghosts

6. Unless an orb is seen by the naked eye, it's not the real thing...If it looks like a nucleus, it's a dust particle.

7. Not paying attention and bringing home unwanted guests.

8. Getting evidence. Helping the homeowner understand why the spirit is there or why the house seems haunted. Ex: CO2, underground water, etc.

THE VIEWS EXPRESSED IN THE STATEMENTS ABOVE DO NOT NECESSARILY REFLECT THOSE OF M.G.W. MEMBERS. WE HAVE SIMPLY ATTEMPTED TO SHOW MANY SIDES OF EACH ISSUE.
